Hailing from East Kilbride, Scottish singer-songwriter Megan Airlie has cited influences such as Fiona Apple, Judy Garland and Billie Holliday amongst her most inspirational. Those legends filter through to her jazz/blues vocal and music which has captivated many thanks to debut singles, ‘After River’ and ‘Honey’.
As an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness, which has manifested itself from her own struggles, this subject has filtered through her songs and continues to play a big part in her journey as a musician.
Having picked up strong support from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, BBC Radio, Hoxton Radio, Earmilk and Songwriting Magazine, Megan also recently shone at Scotland’s XpoNorth with notable live sets. Megan will be looking to build upon this early success while enhancing her burgeoning reputation throughout the UK and beyond.
